Challenge: TBS asked us to create an online game that would help promote their show “People of Earth” The hit TBS series revolves around a support group for alien abductees, or experiencers as they prefer to be called. Their claims are investigated by Ozzie Graham (Wyatt Cenac), a skeptical journalist who has a change of heart when he joins the group. The game needed to include visuals and references to the show. As well as, include other cameos from TBS series characters.

Solution We created an 8bit side-scrolling game from concept to completion. This included concepting the primary gameplay, character design, as well as creating a number of wacky mini-games. The final boss is Mecha Conan O’Brien (the executive producer of the show). Mecha Coco fire lasers beams from his nipples, a reference to his late night talk show. Other cameos include characters from various TBS series such as Angie Tribeca and Nate Parker from The Detour.
